William Teeter

William (Bill) Teeter 86, a lifelong resident of Prescott, passed away on June 17, 2013. He proudly served in the 8th Army Air Force during World War II. He was a gunner in a B-17. Bill and his late brother John Teeter were well known for Teeter Brothers Men's Clothing Store in downtown Prescott. Teeter had friends statewide from his days as a traveling salesman taking orders for Enro shirts. They also managed timber interests in Nevada County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Teeter, thought to be a confirmed bachelor, he married late in life and became a father to her children; daughters, Claudia Marsh; Becky Cohn (Ted); Cindy Moseley (Michael); Cricket Butler (Bob); son, Greg Marsh and family friend Butch Robbins (Judy). He was also preceded in death by his brother, John W. Teeter Jr.; mother, Ruth McCarroll Teeter; father, John W. Teeter, Sr. all of Prescott. His survivors include sister, Betty Teeter Sloan. A memorial service will be held at Pharr Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jerry G. Westmorland officiating.
