Laverne Tucker Young

Laverne Tucker Young, age 82, of Rye, Ark., died Friday, June 28, at the Bradley County Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1931 in Herbine, Ark., a daughter of the late Clyde Tucker and Eva Cruchfield Tucker, she was owner and operator of Young's T.V. service in Warren, where she and her husband James Owen Young, whom she married Jan. 8 1949, and he died Oct. 23, 1996, started there business in 1949 and she closed Young's T.V. service in 2008 with almost 50 years of service. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a graduate of Woodlawn Public Schools. Also preceding her in death were brothers, James Otis Tucker and Harley Owen Tucker and a sister, Dimple Faye Harper. Survivors include Pollyanna Curry and spouse Bubba, Banks, Ark.; three grandchildren, Corie Rose McKinney and spouse Justin, Warren, Ark., Reagan Carol Adair, Warren, Ark. and Leighton Jarrett Curry, Banks, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Jenson Diesel McKinney and Axel Young McKinney, both of Warren. A very special caregiver and friend, Kara Morgan, Warren, Ark. and host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, July 1 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial in Union Cemetery at Rye by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at Frazer's Funeral Home.
