Ann "Bebe" McKinney Deal died at home Wednesday, March 20 surrounded by her loving family. Bebe was born November 19, 1934 to Ann Plunkett McKinney and Richard H. McKinney in Little Rock, Arkansas. Bebe was predeceased by her mother and father Ann P. and Richard H. McKinney and beloved grandparents Annie Holmes and Charles Plunkett and Theda and Roy McKinney. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Pinkney Merrigan Deal, her daughters Debbie Deal Wyman, John W. "Buzz" Wyman and Elizabeth "Iboo" Deal Miller (Alan), sister, Marilyn McKinney Hall and brother, Richard H. McKinney Jr., her grandsons James Wesley Wyman (Mallory), Christopher Merrigan Wyman (Holly Morgan) and John Benjamin Wyman and her step-grandchildren Matthew, Spencer and Morgan Miller. She is also survived by cousins Laurie and Richard Short and a host of nieces and nephews, Frank P. Hall III (Sherry), David McKinney Hall, Frank Cox McKinney (Shannon), Marcy McKinney Hall, F. Preston Hall IV, Keatts Gorman McKinney, David McKinney Hall Jr. and Jacob M. Hall. She was known to all as Bebe and no one loved life more than she did. She attended Monticello College and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She enjoyed many great weekends on Lake Hamilton, traveling with her husband, Pink, most of all being with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking "for an army" and entertaining constantly and in great style. She always had a smile on her beautiful face and the infectious "McKinney" laugh. Bebe took great pride in her family – her husband, daughters, brother, sister, and especially her grandsons who brought her great joy. Also, one of her greatest joys was her dogs Coco, Elsa and Mayday. Coco comforted her to the end right beside her in her bed. Bebe loved her days as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She spent countless hours with the Junior League of Little Rock at Bargain Box, the predecessor of Bargain Barn. She learned to make a mean bow for a wreath from her days at Tipton & Hurst, and she delighted many people's lives while working at James F. Goodman Travel taking them on Bebe's Tours - bus tours all over the south. A long-time member of the Scattered Seed Garden Club and a founding member of the DOGS luncheon group, she always kept a smile on her face and everyone else's. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to our two angels, Donna and Jeri, for their loving care of Bebe during her last days. A celebration of Bebe's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at Second Presbyterian Church at 600 Pleasant Valley Drive with a reception immediately following. Memorials may be made to Dunbar Community Garden, P.O. Box 165317, Little Rock, Ark. 72216 or Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72227 or the charity of your choice.
