George A. King, Jr., 87, of Beebe, Arkansas died Monday, November 18, 2013. He was a retired farmer. A Navy veteran of WWII, he served at Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
George is survived by one daughter, Sandra (Randy) McCowen of Little Rock; two sons, Daryl (Peggy) King and Gary (Anita) King, both of Beebe; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ralph King of Cabot. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mildred; his parents, George and Lee Ella King; one brother, and one sister.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Beebe Cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
