Wirt Reed Heagler Jr.

Wirt Reed Heagler Jr., 83, of Pine Bluff, beloved husband and father, surveyor and scoutmaster passed away at home surrounded by his family Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 8, 1929 in Paragould, Ark. to Wirt Reed and Lillian Mahan Heagler. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Anne Heagler of Pine Bluff, son Reed Heagler (Robin) of White Hall, AR, granddaughter Katie Marie Heagler of Fayetteville, AR, daughter Lynn Heagler Davis (Larance) of Shannon Hills, Ark. and one brother, Robert M. Heagler (Gail) of Jefferson City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Pine Bluff or to Boy Scout Troop 100, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 717 West 32nd Ave., Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
