Maria Henriette Harris

Maria H. Harris went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2013. She was born in Dusseldorf, Germany and came to the United States in 1951, becoming a U.S. citizen in 1953. She was gifted at needlework and supported her military husband, Kenneth Harris until the day he joined the angels in Heaven. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Downes, grandchildren Victoria Downes, Kenneth Downes and Kim Downes (wife of Kenneth) and great-grandchild Wes Downes. She was pre-deceased by parents, Max and Erna Koenig, husband Kenneth Harris, two sons Bernd and Donald Harris and sister, Helga. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas, Highland Valley United Methodist Church (UMW Tile Fund), Little Rock, Arkansas or the American Heart Association. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Maria Harris will be held on October 26, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas at 1 p.m.
