William "Bill" Franklin Jones

William Franklin "Bill" Jones, 84, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away in Ardmore, OK on Friday, September 20, 2013. He was born on November 5, 1928 in Bearden, Arkansas to the late Frank and Eddie Jones. Bill married Shirlee M. Sherman on June 30, 1950. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sisters. Bill was in the U.S. Air force from 1946-1949. He was an avid Razorback fan, fisherman and also a longtime officer at the Rosedale Optimist Club. Bill retired from AT&T. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Smith and her husband, C.H. ‘Skeet" Smith, of Ardmore, Okla.; grandchildren, Patti Smith, Chuck Smith, and Michael Smith, and his wife Jenifer, all of Ardmore, Okla., Bill Riddle and his wife Alejandra of Fayetteville, Ark. and Bill's mother, Sara Riddle, Little Rock, Ark., great-grandchildren, Maggie, Talon and Tanner Smith, Justin Richardson, and Jessica Smith, all of Ardmore, Okla. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Roller-Drummond.Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, AR (501) 455-5800. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Funeral Home.
