James A. Jamie Wynn

James A. "Jamie" Wynn, 84, of Star City died Friday at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born March 31, 1929 in Lincoln County to the late, Robert B. and Essie Morrison Wynn. He was a retired T.V. and Radio repairman, a charter member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Star City and loved to hunt and fish. Preceding him in death is his wife, Vernice Bell Wynn. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Houston Wynn, Roy Wynn and Robert P. Wynn and a sister, Lillie Mae Burns. Surviving Mr. Wynn are a son, Bobby Wynn and wife Kathy of North Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Joe T. Wynn of Star City; a sister, Sally Thomas of Picayune, Miss.; two grandchildren, Sean Wynn and Erin Denny and a great-grandchild, Nate Wynn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. Carl Cheshier and Bro. Dwayne Roper officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Drake Cemetery. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
