BETTY JO EVANS KETZSCHER passed away peacefully at Hospice Home Care on January 26, 2014, at the age of 85. Betty was predeceased by her husband, C. Byron Ketzscher, her beloved mother and father, Bess Copeland Evans and R.H."Bob" Evans, and brother, Donald Evans. She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Maloney of Harrisburg, Pa., daughter, Shannon (Lonnie) James of Charleston, S.C. and her son Chuck (Michelle) Ketzscher of North Little Rock. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Brandon (Maggie) James, Savannah James, Charlie Ketzscher, her great-grandchild Olive Bee James, numerous nieces and nephews, and relatives in the Delark area. The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the many friends and loved ones who visited Betty and provided comfort during her final days. The family also wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice Home Care and deeply appreciates the wonderful care she received at Elmcroft Assisted Living. Betty was born in Boone County, Arkansas on August 3, 1928. She attended North Little Rock High School where she met her future husband, Byron Ketzscher. They traveled the country during Byron's military service and settled in North Little Rock, where she was active in the Junior League and Lakewood Methodist Church. After raising two children, she earned her realtor's license and went to work at Real Estate Central where she excelled in the relocation department. Betty was awarded membership in the Million Dollar Producers Club numerous times during her twenty year career. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed for her generous heart. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 10 a.m. in Lakewood United Methodist Church, corner of Top and Fairway in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County.
