Mark Wright Severns

Mark Wright Severns, 56, of Cabot passed away on May 16, 2014 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He was born on January 6, 1958 in Clarksville, Arkansas to the late Clifford and Naomi Severns. He is survived by his wife Julie and two sons, Aaron Severns (Erika), Cliff Severns and fiancé Kelly Nequin and daughter, Amber Shippee (Brett) also five grandchildren Hannah, Abbie, Kennedi, Aubrey and Harley. Mark loved life and lived it every day to the fullest. Mark was the proud owner/operator of Jiffy Mart, Inc. since it's beginning in April, 1983, when he was 24 years old. His partner, Jack Timmons, who was 48 at the time, worked with Mark from 1982 until Jack's death in 1997. Upon his death, Jack's son, Mark Timmons, became partners with Mark. Mark was also the owner of Severns Bros., Inc. along with his brother, Rick; he also served as a member of the Super Stop Co-op Board. Mark loved his five grandchildren dearly and spent as much time as he could with each of them. Mark loved to fish and being outside as much as possible and loved his tools and loved adding to them. He had a favorite cat named Big Al. Some of the things that Mark liked to do was to give people a hard time and he loved practical jokes at the expense of his friends. He had a favorite word which was "Bodacious" and he used it often. Mark will be greatly missed by all who loved him and knew him. A visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home 7724 Landers Rd. N.L.R. Arkansas on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Paul Rice officiating.
