Robert C. Richards

Robert C. "Red" Richards, of Hensley, passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 29,2015. He was born on December 29, 1935 in Opal, Ark. to the late Bill and Hazel (Moore) Richards. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Julia Halstead. Mr. Richards was a U.S. Navy Veteran and in the freight business for over 40 years. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Paulette (Thompson) Richards, his daughters, Bobbie Carranza (Robert), Brenda Aaron, Beverly Pannell (John), his son, Melvin Halstead, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way, and his large extended family who loved him dearly. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Agee officiating. Committal service will follow at Bayou Meto Cemetery.
