Eunice May Douthit

Eunice May Douthit, 81, of Ola, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 in Ola. The daughter of Rosco and Lorene Inez (Grinder) Potts, she was born May 29, 1934. She was a member of the Ola United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching TV, puzzles, reading, cooking and watching Pulaski Heights United Methoidst Church on Sunday morning TV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Vernon Douthit; her parents; and daughter-in-law, Mary Douthit. Survivors include her son, Larry Douthit of Ola; two granddaughters, Heidi Spruiell of Joshua, Texas and Heather Douthit of Cleburne, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Max Boydston of Joshua, Texas, Megan Spruiell of Joshua, Texas, Haley Hale of Cleburne, Texas, Bradley Edwards of Cleburne, Texas and Mia Stewart of Joshua, Texas; one great-great-grandchild, Kaelynne of Joshua, Texas; two sisters, Ila Hampton of Ola and Ada Heath and husband, John of McCrory; two nieces, Laura Hoffman and husband, Wayne of Benbrook, Texas and Lori Kendrick and husband, Thomas of McCrory; two nephews, Lynn Hampton and wife, Angela of Mansfield, Texas and Jared Heath and wife, Becky of Dallas, Texas; four great-nieces; four great-nephews; and numerous cousins. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at the Ola United Methodist Church in Ola. Rev Melanie Tubbs will officiate. Burial will be at Sandlin Cemetery in Ola by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., on Sunday, at the funeral home.
