David Lee Hall, 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2015. He was born August 17, 1926 to James and Ruth Hall of Little Rock. David was married to his beloved wife Dorothy Wright Hall for 56 years until her death in 2002. For the past 10 plus years he has been married to Polly Fletcher-Hall. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Ruth, his first wife, Dorothy, his siblings Robert Hall, Wesley Hall, Charlene Watkins (St. Louis, MO), Dr. Leland Hall (Melbourne, Fla.) and Dr. Andrew Hall (Fayetteville, Ark.). He is survived by his loving wife of almost 11 years, Polly Fletcher-Hall, one brother, Gary Hall (Theresa), two sons, Jay Alan Hall (Katherine) and Jon Wesley Hall (Rhonda) of Cummings, Ga. and daughter, Jana Lee Wells (Ken), one step-daughter, Linda Fincher and two step-sons, Jim Fletcher (Rogers, Ark.) and David Fletcher (Colorado Springs, Colo.). David had eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. David was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School and attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. A veteran of WWII, David served as a gunner's mate in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Lake Champlain. He was a retired appraiser from the FHA single/multi-family division, VP at Savers Federal Mortgage and Asset Manager at Resolution Trust Company. David's two main passions in life were his family and serving the Lord through his church. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 60 years. He volunteered with the Visiting Nurses Association, Nail Benders Association, and Immanuel Food Pantry and served on mission trips to Brazil and Guatemala. David loved playing golf, fishing, hunting and was an avid Razorback fan. He was a long time member of the Over the Hill Hunting Club. A celebration of David's life will begin with a visitation at 10:30 a.m. and a funeral at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Immanuel Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 12th. Officiating will be Immanuel Pastor Dr. Gary Hollingsworth and Associate Pastor of Senior Adults, Rick Jaggars. A private burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. The family wishes to extend special appreciation to the V.A. and hospice nurses and all of David's caregivers.
