Mildred L. Evans, "The Love Of Our Life and a Career Mother", 94, of Little Rock, Ark transitioned from this life on August 5, 2015. She was an ordained minister, volunteer, gardener and musician who shared her love of God with all who came in contact with her. She was born December 29, 1920 to Marion and Leola Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Evans and her daughter, Yvonne Wester. Survivors include five sons, Michael L., Larry M., Darrell O., Ralph W. and Paul E. Evans, all from Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Brenda Evans-Tharp of Little Rock, Ark., and Beverly Evans-Cooper and Deborah Evans-Johnstone from Sylmar, Calif., along with a host of sons-in-law, daughters-in law, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A family hour will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, 6-7 p.m., Ruffin & Jarrett Chapel, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72206, (501) 372-1305. Service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 - 10 a.m., Reed Memorial C.M.E. Church, 3101 Izard St., Little Rock, Ark. 72206, Rev. Patsy Wright, Officiating. Interment will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock.
