Carlton Lee Taylor

Carlton Lee Taylor was born July 8, 1946 in Beebe, Arkansas to Robert H. and Ruby Taylor. He graduated in 1964 from Beebe High School and attended Arkansas State University before marrying the love of his life, Kathy Davis Taylor, of Searcy. He was employed and served in many capacities in management for 36 years at what is now Eaton Corporation in Searcy. Carlton was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, but his favorite pastime was being with his family. His greatest legacy is his children and grandchildren. Carlton is survived by his wife of 49 years, his two children, Leigh Anne Hawthorne (Mike) and Chris Taylor (Bobbi), all of Searcy, three grandchildren, Andrew Hawthorne of Rogers and Madison and Ryan Taylor of Searcy. He is also survived by two sisters, Karen Staggs (Tom) of Pangburn and Geneva Powell (Mike) of Meridan, Idaho as well as 6 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews and his beloved mother-in-law, Marie Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and much loved father-in-law, Albert "Hump" Davis. Carlton will be greatly missed by his special lifelong friends, Carnell and Gary Yarbrough. Special thanks to his loving nurses, Kim Zimmerman and Cindy Vickers and all the nurses and aids from Spring Creek, Unity Hospital, The Crossing and Arkansas Hospice. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Searcy with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m. Memorials can be made to the St Paul UMC Building Fund, 2509 W.
