Betty Brandon

Betty Irene Brandon, age 82, of Hensley, passed away peacefully at her home August 22nd, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born on July 14th, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Sylvia Rarick. She was a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. Betty retired from NAPA Auto Parts after more than 20 years of service. She loved cooking, having her family together and her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Samuel Brandon Sr.; grandson, Jordan Brandon; three sisters and one brother. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her five children, Samuel Brandon, Jr., Caren Lawhon and husband Gerald, Susan Brandon, Michael Brandon and Alan "Marty" Brandon and wife Leslie; grandchildren, Jake, Adrienne, William, Mickey, Christine, Megan, Amy, Justin, Mary, Taylor, Shelby, Rebecca and Ashley; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald Brandon and wife Jamie; sister-in-law, Kaye Holt and husband Paul and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 27th, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
