Floyd Harold Turner

Floyd Harold Turner, 84, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 in England, Ark. Floyd was born Nov. 7, 1931 to John William Turner and Velda Grist Turner in Havana, Ark. He graduated from Havana High School in 1949. Floyd served in the Army during the Korean War for two years. He met his wife, Sissie Bradshaw, in Wright, Ark. in 1950. They were married July 17, 1953 and were happily married for 63 years. In 1955, Floyd began a successful 40 year career in the farming industry. After retiring from farming, he purchased Turner-Jordan Motor Company in England, Ark. He owned the business for 15 years. Floyd was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of England for 40 years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was actively involved in hunting and fishing, but his favorite thing to do was piddle in his shop. Floyd is survived by his wife, Sissie; daughter, Sheree (Greg) Hillis; daughter-in-law, Mala Turner; grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Henderson, Rachel (Barry) Jackson, Hanah Rebekah Henderson, Lexie Melvin and Timothy Jackson Turner; great-grandchildren, Greer Elizabeth Jackson and Connor Barry Jackson; sister, Patsy Turner Wallace; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, son, Timothy Harold Turner; daughter, Kimberly Diane Turner and sister, Sibyl Turner Honaker. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at Roller England Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Robby Sherman officiating. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at Roller England Funeral Home in England, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of England, Ark.
