JEROME F. PTAK, age 82, of Jacksonville, Ark. He was born in Spring Valley, Ill. to Jerome and Elsie Ptak. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Anne Perkins of Tucson, Ariz. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; daughter, Suzie and husband Norton A. Schwartz of Mclean, Va.; daughter, Cindy and husband James L. Chamberlain of Christiansburg, Va.; and son Jerry and wife Cherrel Ptak of Lindale, Texas. Grandchildren: Luke and Alexandra Chamberlain, Drew and Jeffrey Ptak. Major Jerome Ptak (ret) was a proud Air Force Veteran. He retired in 1973 and chose to make Jacksonville, Ark. his new home. Following his military career, he worked at Aubrey Carroll and Company, and CT&T Engineering. He enjoyed time with family and friends, especially a good round of golf, followed by an even better round of story telling. Memorial Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Ark. 72120. Following the committal service will be a Memorial and Celebration of Life at the Jacksonville Museum of Military History.
