Charles Minor Pike

Charles Minor Pike passed away January 22 surrounded by his family. Mr. Pike was born October 7, 1936 in Vaughn, Arkansas. Charles was a construction supervisor and member of the Carpenters Local 150 until he retired in 1999. Both Charles and wife Jean were members of the BHS Class of '55. He is preceded in death by his parents, Minor and Hazel Pike; son, James Minor and grandson, Bryon James. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Pike of Ojai; son, John Walter and daughter-in-law Judy of Ojai; daughter-law, Sheryl of Ventura; sisters, Donna Jo Burton, of Gardendale, Ala., Frances Whited of Bentonville, Ark.; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Moore of Ojai; three grandsons, Jeffrey Martin Minor, David Brandon of Ventura, Jeremy Adam of Tyler, Texas and six great-grandchildren. Viewing of Mr. Pike will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27 at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 28 at 1 p.m. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
