Nicky Lee Stark

Nicky Lee Stark, age 74 of Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed away July 11, 2015. He was born on January 13, 1941 in Morganton, Arkansas and raised in Heber Springs. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Ann Stark; his parents, George Truett and Avis Alice Van Nada Stark; and two brothers, Dean Stark and Kent Stark. Nick is survived by two brothers Terry Stark and wife Sterline of Rose Bud; and Scott Stark and wife Kathy of Greers Ferry; two daughters; Tammy Bomar, and husband Roger of Rose Bud; Kim Floyd, and husband Ricky of Searcy. He was known as Grandaddy to five grandchildren, Nikki (Tipton) Calhoun of Rose Bud; Dallas Tipton of Beebe; Audra (Floyd) Wray, and husband Kyle of Searcy; Austin Floyd, and wife Tessa of Searcy; and Abby Floyd of Searcy. He also had two great-granddaughters, Aubree and Adria; and two great-grandsons, Krews and Kole. He lived the idealistic small town American life. He married his high school sweetheart, had a family he adored, and enjoyed life on his family farm. Nick and his wife Patricia owned Stark Building Supply and Fertilizer in Rose Bud for 35 years. They were an integral part of the community, always opening the store after hours if you needed something and donating supplies. He was a town staple, as he frequented the coffee shop, where everyone knew who he was and brought him his order, without even having to ask. He was known for his wit and always stayed up on political and current events to discuss with everyone. Nick will be missed by family, friends, and the entire community of Rose Bud. Visitation will be held Tuesday July 14, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Wednesday July 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Rose Bud United Methodist Church with interment following immediately at Rose Bud Cemetery.
