John M. DeLoach Sr.

John M. DeLoach Sr., 91, of Magnolia, Ark. died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock, Ark. John was born on December 13, 1923 in Haynesville, La. and served in the United States Army during World War II in the North Africa and Italian Campaigns. He was a member of the first four year graduating class of Southern State College (1952) and was a member of Central Baptist Church. John was a general contractor and owner of DeLoach Construction Company, which built many public schools in south Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Era (Moore) DeLoach, grandson, Seth Wilson, two brothers, and six sisters. John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma (McCollum) DeLoach of Magnolia; his children, Judy Willingham (Alex) of San Antonio, Texas, John M. DeLoach Jr. (Jeannie) of North Little Rock, Mike DeLoach (Joni) of Magnolia, Jane Wilson (T.O.) of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Michael DeLoach (Jennifer), Stephen DeLoach (Kristi), Clark Willingham, Kathryn Willingham, Sarah DeLoach, John M. DeLoach III, Abigail DeLoach, Joseph DeLoach; great-grandchildren, Dawson and Connor DeLoach and Peyton Willingham. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Steve Ford officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. The family will receive friends at the visitation on Wednesday, July 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
