Florence Mabel Stamper Graue, 94, of Johnson, Arkansas passed away peacefully from this life Monday, May 18, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice to join her heavenly Father. She was born December 28, 1920 to Luther and Nellie Tillotson Stamper. Two weeks later they arrived in Johnson, Arkansas in a horse drawn wagon. As a lifetime resident of Johnson, she moved only twice. She married Ward Graue on March 1, 1940 and moved across the road from her home place. In 1947 they moved to her corner in Johnson and lived there independently until June 2014. With extra care she remained in her home to the end, which is what she wanted. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, homemaker and caregiver for their handicapped son for 62 years. She was very much a devout, faithful Christian Lady. A charter member of the Johnson Baptist Church involved in WMU, Training Union, Sunday School and Church Treasurer. She was the President of Johnson Sunshine Home Demonstration Club. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and quilter, making quilts for her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, canning and especially flowers. She also enjoyed visiting Flippo's Senior Center everyday when she could, so Pat made her the Marketing Director of the Center. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Millie Stamper; her husband, Ward Graue in 1969; her son, Keith Graue and her brother, Kenneth Tillotson. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon and husband Jim Lyon of Bethel Heights; three grandchildren, Linda and her husband James Simpson of Cave Springs, Jim, II and wife Debra Lyon of Bentonville and Brenda and husband Carl Jones of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren, Brandi, Jim, III and Samantha Lyon, Lisa Gardiser, Cody Jones, Amanda Weaver, Rebecca and Tyler Simpson; five great-great grandchildren, Makenna Bentlee, Gwyn, Noah and Ella; three sisters-in-law, Frances Skansen, Bea Graue and Marilyn Graue and many nieces and nephews. She had many special friends and wonderful neighbors, we wish to thank for all their help over the years. She would not have been able to live independently for all those years without these people; Kaye David, Pat Flippo, Bob Dickard, Michelle Williams, Ron White and Jean Helmer and many others. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Sisco Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m. Rev. Rex Griffin will be officiating the services with Pat Flippo doing the eulogy. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Dickard, Mike Graue, Phillip Gann, George Hendrix, Bill Helmer and Terry Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers are Art Davis and Ron White.
