Carol Davis

Mrs. Carol Ellis Davis, age 81, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 1, 2015 in De Queen. She was born to Robert and Newell Ward Ellis in Clinton, Arkansas on August 1, 1934. She was retired owner of Jack & Jill Daycare, as well as a homemaker. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of De Queen for over 53 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, sports, fishing, and baking, and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bobby Ellis and Bill Ellis, and a sister, Oleta Holyfield. She is survived by her husband, of over 63 years, Gene G. Davis, a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Karen Davis of De Queen, three daughters, Patti Atkins of De Queen, Robin Joseph and Kelly Davis both of Conway, Arkansas, a sister-in-law, Judy Ellis of Little Rock, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Carol Davis will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of De Queen. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery.
