Dorothy Finley Harper

Dorothy Finley Harper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 1, 1930 in Prattsville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Dewey Emanuel and Mabel Irene Holiman Finley. She was a graduate of Poyen High School, and an active member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. We will cherish the precious memories we have of our "Nanny." She enjoyed quilting, working crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and doing whatever she could to help someone. Nanny Harper died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation at the age of 85. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Harper. Survivors: daughters, Donna Harris of Greenwood; Leah and husband David Reynolds of Sheridan; brother, Curt and wife Sue Finley of Russellville; sister, Catherine and husband Morris Nichols of Traskwood; grandchildren, Zach and Kristin Reynolds; Josh and Haley Harris, Morgan and Micheal Mouton, Spencer Harris; great grandsons, Cooper Reynolds, Brady Reynolds, Hoyt Harris and Madden Mouton, a great-granddaughter, Palmer Kate Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton and Dr. Sidney Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.
