Shelby Jean Carter

Shelby Jean Carter, 75 of Springdale passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born January 12, 1940 in Berryville, Arkansas to Meldon Joseph and Jewel Pharis Carter. Shelby worked as a Social Worker in Cobb County, Georgia for 10 years. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, William Carter and one brother, Bill Vernon Carter. Survivors include her husband, Tom Carter of Springdale; one son, Clay Thomas Carter of Springdale; one daughter, Kelly Leigh Marsh and husband Jim of Springdale; six grandchildren, Jammie Marsh, Craig Marsh, Sean Carter, Brandon William Carter, Noah Thomas Carter and Tristan George Carter and five great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Truth with Pastor Wesley McGinnis officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
