James "Jimmy" Newcomb, age 68, of Springdale passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born August 26, 1947 in Little Rock to the late JC and Lorene Newcomb. He had retired from Centerpoint Energy after 32 years, was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale, and an avid Razorback fan. Survivors include his wife Trudy Newcomb of Springdale; one daughter, Chrissa Newcomb of Ferndale; two step-children, Avie Sassan and husband, Leo of Bentonville and Jonathan Fisher and wife, Regina of Sapulpa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Baylee and Hunter Boyles and Alyssa Sassan; one sister, Carolyn Bartlett of Benton; one niece, Holly Magness and husband, James of Benton; great-nephew, Jake Magness; many relatives, and a host of friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton with Father Y.C. officiating. Pallbearers are Donnie McClendon, Rickey Trickey, George Newcomb Jr., Curtis Skinner, Glen Bowen, and Ed Milam. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. and Rosary Service starting at 7 p.m. Friday evening, Sept. 4th at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (501-315-4047) in Benton.
