Helen Lucille Hambrick Barger

Helen Lucille Hambrick Barger, 89, of Jacksonville, passed away September 17, 2015. She was born in Des Arc, Ark. on June 23, 1926, to the late Dewey and Nellie Hambrick. Helen had an interesting life traveling all over the world with her husband, while he served in the U.S. Air Force. After her husband's retirement, they returned to Jacksonville, where she continued her interest in civic activities, including, Eastern Star, volunteering in the VA Hospital, Jacksonville Bridge club, and the LRAFB Library. Helen was a member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Dale Barger, her parents, her brother, J.D. Hambrick, and grandson, Robert Wagers. She is survived by her son, Michael Barger (Martha); granddaughter, Lindsey Powell (Seth), all of Conway; granddaughter, Julie Dalme, great-grandson, Ethan Dalme, and great-granddaughter, Lauren Dalme, all of Pineville, La.; granddaughter in-law, Andrea Wagers, great-grandsons, Matthew Wagers, Zachary Wagers; and great-granddaughter, Allison Wagers, all of Little Rock; son, David Barger (Beverly), and grandson David Barger, and sister, Sylvia Wilson all of Denver, Colo., and brothers, Ronald Hambrick of Jacksonville, and James Hambrick (Gail) of Searcy.
