Richard Larry McHughes Sr., 72, of Greenbrier, passed away on Fri., April 15, 2016. He was born on Mon., Jan. 10, 1944 in Little Rock, Ark. to the late William Albert McHughes and Mary Elizabeth Fleener McHughes. Larry was a retired switchman from Union Pacific Railroad. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. One word that described him was "Servant." He was always helping someone in some manner. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Reuel McHughes; and a sister, Georgia Butler. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Richard McHughes Jr. and wife Kim of Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Katherine Sublett and husband Toby of Mt. Vernon, Ark.; grandchildren, Cody, Seth, Grace-Evelyn, Ella-Claire and Chole-Elizabeth; sister, Marietta Tipton and husband Doss of Mayflower, Ark.; a brother, Donald McHughes and wife Katherine of Alexander, Ark.; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Tues., April 19, 2016, 6-8 p.m., at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, (501) 679-2575. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wed., April 20, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Mr. Bruce Reeves officiating. Interment will be at noon at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark.
