Robert Wayne Gibbs, Sr. "Barbwire"

Robert Wayne Gibbs, Sr. "Barbwire", 67, of Ward, went into the arms of his Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2016. He was born July 11, 1948 in Little Rock to the late Vernon Robert "Bob" and Lillie Kathrine "Bo" Gibbs. Wayne served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter and was awarded the Triple Trophy Award 6 years in a row. He was not hesitant about sharing his faith. Wayne was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, and in his spare time, he worked to secure Bibles for the juvenile detention center and Tucker Prison. In addition, he participated in the Toys for Tots program every Christmas. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife whom he called his "Angel", Ruby Reed Gibbs; sons, Robert Wayne Gibbs, Jr., Ronald Eugene Gibbs, both of Beebe, and Jeremy Loftis of England; daughter, Rachel Harper (Willie) of Ward; sister, Kaye Lendermon (Russell) of Cabot; grandchildren, Breezie, Autum, Stormie, Alexis, Constence, Jasmine, and Carissa. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 21st at Country Chapel in Ward.
