Josh "June" Henley

Josh "June" Henley, 91 of Star City died Friday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 17, 1924 in Lincoln County to the late Josh and Fannie Carter Henley. He was a member of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle. He was a logger and former owner of Lucky Cleaners. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Odelle White Henley; four brothers, Grady, Fred, Dennis and John Henley and five sisters, Lenora Henley Cogbill, Lottie Henley Beatty, Waidy Henley Earnest, Euris Henley Lee and LaVone Henley Robertson. Survivors include son, Mike Henley; daughter, Audrey (Rickey) West; step-son, Hollis Tisdale, all of Star City; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Don Gordon and Bro. Craig Henley officiating. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial at Greenmount Cemetery.
