Margaret Nell Johnson

Margaret Nell Johnson was born November 29, 1931 in Modoc, Arkansas. The Lord called her Home on August 13, 2016. She was born to parents, James Arthur and Mary Alice Johnston and was raised with 10 brothers and sisters. Nell was not born into wealth by monetary standards, but was rich beyond her dreams in love of family and the love of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Raised during the Great Depression, Nell learned many values that served her well during her life and she passed these values on to her own children and other family members. Nell was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, "Ne-Ni", and aunt. She was a gifted cook, seamstress, and artist. She was the loving Matriarch of our Johnston family and the Fearless Leader of the "Johnston Belles." Nell was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and seven sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Johnson and her daughter, Wanda Johnson Kowbel. She is survived by her daughter, Kylene Goza (Gary); two grandchildren, Brandon Goza and Lauren Kowbel Theinert; two great-grandchildren and a great host of nieces and nephews. Services for Nell will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211, (501) 224-8300. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery in West Helena, Arkansas.
