Mrs. Wilda Miller Silvoso, born February 18, 1923, passed into Jesus' loving arms on December 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Silvoso had been a resident of Parkway Village Nursing Home in Little Rock since May 2011. Prior to that, she had lived in Columbia, Missouri for 44 years. In her later years she moved to Little Rock so she could be close to her younger son, Gerald and his wife, Karen whom she loved like a daughter. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dr. Joseph A. Silvoso, Chairman of the School of Accountancy, University of Missouri Columbia who had been called to heaven on Feb 5, 1998; her parents, Gilbert and Pebble Miller; her two brothers, Colby Lee Miller and Delmer Eugene Miller and their respective wives, Faith Miller and Charlene Miller; her sisters-in-law, Christine Richvalsky and Catherine Olson and their husbands. Joe and Wilda were married for 57 years. Their marriage was truly blessed by a boundless love for each other, their family and their savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her two sons, Gerald R. Silvoso (Little Rock, Arkansas) Joe Silvoso II (Los Angeles, California) and their respective wives, Karen and Mary; three grandchildren, Amy Silvoso Ramirez, Christine Marie Silvoso, Joseph Silvoso III; and three great-grandchildren. Family wishes to especially thank, Wilda's lifelong best friend, Pauline Koch; her nephew, Ricky Miller; her nieces by marriage, Kathryn Hamblin and Shirley Sattovia; and her nephew, Steve Miller and his wife, Karen for their years of love and attention to Wilda. Raised as a Missouri farm girl, she was known as an excellent cook, immaculate house keeper, committed student of the Bible, and as a deeply kind and sincere person. No one who knew her, met her, or cared for her ever failed to remark on her sweetness. She felt she was kept alive for almost 20 years after the death of her husband to tell others about Jesus, which she did with enthusiasm. Wilda will be buried beside her beloved husband, Joe in Evergreen Cemetery in Dewit, Missouri - close to the farm where she grew up and about which she reminisced lovingly her entire life. At her request, the family plans a quiet grave side service where her life as a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and loyal friend will be celebrated. The family wishes to thank Dr. Claudia Tolleson and the excellent care takers at Parkway Village Nursing Home. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/chenal.
