William Walter Klusmeier, son of Bill and Betty Klusmeier, passed away on February 6th, 2016 of early-onset Alzheimer's disease at the age of 58. Walt was born in Fort Smith Arkansas—the youngest of five siblings. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he received a degree in zoology. After a four-year period of under water welding in the Gulf of Mexico, Walt married his life-long love, Lisa Hathcock Klusmeier. Together they had three children, Cathryn, Andrew, and Jacob Klusmeier. Walt is forever loved by his family, his wife, his children, his four sisters: Gail Harrington, Carol Amerine, Lynn Bain, Leigh Freeze, and many nieces and nephews. Walt believed in the power of giving and love above all else. He looked for the good in everyone he met and greeted each person with a smile. A celebration of his remarkable life is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 13th at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel, 504 Memorial Drive, Bella Vista, Ark. Immediately following the service, please join the family for a time of visitation, stories, laughter and photos. Location for this gathering will be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Pkwy, Bentonville, Ark. 72712. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home Fayetteville.
