George Taylor Newberry

George Taylor Newberry, 81, of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was born August 19, 1934 Faulkner County, Arkansas. He was son of the late Leo Octavious and Crotella (Rhea) Newberry. George was a 1957 graduate of the University of Arkansas. He was an officer in the reserves and a US Army Veteran. George served as Assistant County Agent in Crittenden County and retired as Assistant General Manager the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Association. He attended the Church of Christ in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Newberry of Little Rock; brother and sister-in-law, Getulio C. (Bud) and Dannye Newberry of Tulsa; two nieces, Nancy Gail Ogan of Tulsa and Caryn Lynn Newberry of Hurst, Texas and two great-nephews, Nathan and Matthew Ogan. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, Oakland Cemetery, Faulkner County, Arkansas.
