James Ervin "Baby" Loyd

James Ervin "Baby" Loyd, age 85, of Lake Village, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village, Arkansas. Mr. Loyd was born October 17, 1930 at Yellow Bayou Plantation in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late James Weaver Loyd and Maude Moss Loyd. He is a retired Lieutenant for the Arkansas State Highway Police for many years. He was an avid quail hunter and loved fishing in Lake Chicot. Predeceased by his parents, a brother, Weaver Loyd; three sisters, Louise Neikirk, Frances Gray, and Katherine Jolley. He is survived by his wife of 58 plus years, Imogene "Jean" McGoogan Loyd, of Lake Village, a daughter, Stacy Ann Horton and husband, Dr. Charles Horton of Berryville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Julia Loyd Horton, Anna Elizabeth Horton, and Charles Moss Horton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services are Saturday, July 16, 2016 with visitation at 10 a.m. with funeral service following at 11 a.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Village, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Lake Village City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas. In Lieu of flowers, family request donations to your favorite charity in honor of James Ervin "Baby" Loyd.
