William "Bill" Alexander

William Glenn "Bill" Alexander of Sheridan, Ark., was born Dec. 8, 1947, in Pineville, La., the son of Rosalie Payne Alexander and the late William Elvin "Al" Alexander. He was Operations Manager for Hoover Treated Wood Products in Pine Bluff where he was employed for over 35 years. He had served numerous years as Vice President on the Board of Directors at Pine Federal Credit Union in Pine Bluff. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and actively honored all those who had served. He was an active member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, an avid outdoorsman, and a member of Waddle Home Hunting Club. Bill was a devoted family man who loved spending time with and taking care of his family and many friends. Bill passed from this life on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Utica, Miss., as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his father, "Al" Alexander and a great niece, Carson Standridge. Survivors include his wife of 44 years and best friend, Nancy DuPriest Alexander; son, William Damon and wife Stephanie Alexander; daughter, Tressie "Tish" Alexander; mother, Rosalie Alexander all of Sheridan; brother, Mike and wife Brenda Alexander of Little Rock; sisters, Tammy and husband Eddie Paul Woodall, Penny and husband Russell Atchley; grandsons, Nick Smith and Hunter Alexander, all of Sheridan and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Shawn Hill and Bro. Micah McKinley officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. also at the church. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870) 942-1306.
