Juanita Allene "Peggy" Bennett, age 91, passed away March 18, 2016 in Sheridan, Ark. She was born in Little Rock, Ark., Aug. 27, 1924. Her parents were Horace and Sarah Jimerson Singleton. Juanita was a lifelong member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Bennett; her parents; three brothers, Harold, Jack, and J.C. Survivors include five daughters, Judy (Jim) Morton, Sheila (Otto) Schmeckenbecher, Brenda (Danny) McGinley, Sandra (Lindsey) Tipton, and Charlotte (Danny) Gibbs; grandchildren, Russell and Jennifer Morton, Paul and Arty Schmeckenbecher, Jason McGinley, Sara King, Shannon Morris, Jon Mark and Michael Tipton, Christopher Gibbs and Amy Reed; great-grandchildren, Russell Schmeckenbecher, Jessica Jackson, Lauren and Lane McGinley, Landry, Bodie and Riley King, James, Riley and Spencer Morris, Haley and Tyler Tipton, Caroline and Claire Gibbs, Sara-Catherine, Garrett and Kelsey Reed; two great-great-grandchildren, Andrew Jackson and C.J. Schmeckenbecher and a sister-in-law Trudy Singleton. The family wishes to thank the Arkansas Hospice, Crown Point Assisted Living and the Sheridan Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in the Landmark Community at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. before the service.
