WILLIAM "SELBY" KENNEDY V, of Little Rock, Ark.., 55, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Selby was born July 30, 1960 to Beverly Cantrell Kennedy and William "Bill" Selby Kennedy IV and was raised in England, Ark. Selby loved his wife, Beckie and his children, Kaytlyn, Hannah, and William. He was the life of the party and loved to entertain. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and running, and any activity that involved the outdoors. Selby's greatest joy in his life was his family, whom he was deeply devoted. He was patient, thoughtful, sweet, generous, loving, fun, and kind. He always encouraged his children to pursue their dreams. He put others first and loved unconditionally. He was a devoted, loving and supportive husband, father, son, friend, and co-worker. He loved to share his experiences with his children and their friends, whether at Lake Hamilton, the Buffalo River, or Cooper Lake and Blue Point Land Companies. Selby went to England Academy and attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma, and received his MBA at the University of Arkansas. Selby began his career in 1983 and spent the majority of his tenure at A. G. Edwards, which merged with Wells Fargo. He was a Senior Vice President-Investment Officer and during his distinguished career, Selby was recognized as a Premier Advisor and was on the Chairman's Council numerous times. Selby is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Kennedy. He is survived by his grandmother, Frances Oyler of Marshfield, Mo. and father, Bill Kennedy and his wife Leigh of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; his wife, Beckie Louks Kennedy and their son, "William" Selby Kennedy VI of Little Rock; daughters, Kaytlyn Kennedy Richard and her husband, Shelby of Pineville, La. and Hannah Ann Kennedy of Dallas, Texas and their mother, Susan Rhea Martin and grandson, Caleb Richard; his sister, Allison Halter and her husband, Chuck of Springfield, Mo. and their children: Thomas, JaneAnne, and Helen. A celebration of Selby's life will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31 at 2 p.m.; visitation one hour prior. A private burial will be held in England. Pallbearers are Glen Evans, Phillip Salemi, Tommy Murchison, Anthony Cantrell, Aaron Cantrell, and Tony Neel.
