Everett "JT" Hathorn

Everett "JT" Hathorn, 84, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale, Ark. He was born on July 2, 1931 in Kingston, Ark., a son of the late William Hathorn and Dela (Cook) Hathorn. JT loved his family. He worked as a carpenter, musician and farmer and loved working with horses and cows. He enjoyed playing music at the Senior Center and the VFW Post 2952, both in Springdale. When he was younger he enjoyed team roping with his sons. He had a good sense of humor and was full of laughter and jokes. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Hathorn; five brothers and four sisters. JT is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lois (Stilwell) Hathorn of the home; one son, Jeff and wife, Judy of Bentonville, Ark.; one sister, Peggy Rosson; four grandchildren: Jaclyn Hathorn, Justin Hathorn and wife, Mandy, Stacey Hathorn, Mike Hathorn and wife, Trish; five great-grandchildren: Tayson Hathorn, Tristin Hathorn, Natalie Hathorn, Gage Hathorn and Haley Hathorn, all of Springdale, Arkansas. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral Service will be private.
