Freddy Napier

Freddy Michael Napier, 68, of, Jacket, Missouri died November 2, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born November 1, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to Fred Napier and Evelyn Adena Ross Napier. He was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam and participated in the invasion of Laos. He was a commercial construction superintendent for many years. He founded and developed Gates to Heaven Cemetery, enjoyed working with his cattle and on his farm, and loved his family and friends who were so important to him. The joy of his life was sharing the abundance of God's blessings. He was a Baptist and is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dennis and Dick VanLaningham; two sisters, Ruth Stone and Norma Cox. Survivors are his wife, Norma Jean DeBord Napier of the home who he married July 25, 1969 and again August 26, 2016.; two sons, Michael Napier (Tammy) of Bentonville, James Napier of Seligman; a daughter, Wendy Lewis (Drake) of Seligman; four brothers, Dean VanLaningham of Rogers, Roger VanLaningham of Intercession, Florida, Ted VanLaningham of El Reno, Okla., Kenneth VanLaningham of Colorado; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Gates to Heaven Cemetery in Jacket with Brother Gerald Higgins officiating. Arrangements are with Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. No Visitation.
