Thomas "Tom" Floid Daniel Sr., 73, of Hot Springs passed from this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas after a long, brave battle with cancer. Tom was born on February 14, 1943 in Hot Springs to P.W. "Jack" and Ina Carter Daniel. He attended Hot Springs High School and served four years in the United States Air Force. Mr. Daniel was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church. He was a successful business owner of Spa Fireworks, National Park Gifts and countless other business ventures. Tom was a dedicated servant of his hometown, holding many positions in numerous community organizations throughout his lifetime. He felt such love and pride for his "Spa City" home, he strived to make it the best it could be for tourists and citizens alike. Meeting him in heaven are his parents and sister, Diana Daniel. Cherishing his memory is his wife of 24 years, Mary Daniel; son, Tom Daniel (Kathy) of Bryant; daughters, Tammy Nation, Janette Bales and Kristin Babb, all of Hot Springs; sister, Jackie Cleaver of Pottsville; seven grandchildren, Trent and Hayden Daniel of Bryant, Dana Trott, Natalie Nation, Karson Babb, Brady and Brynna Bales all of Hot Springs and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Central Baptist Church, 1035 Central Ave in Hot Springs on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 11 to 12 noon with a celebration of his life to immediately follow. Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brian "Bee" Albright, Douglas Babb, Brian Bales, Hayden Daniel, Trent Daniel, Joe Free, Alfred Gloria, Bill "Coach" Nelson, Gerald Wells and James West. Honorary pallbearers are Dick Antoine, Steve Arrison, Mike Dugan, Monte Everhart, Don Little, Gordon Mahoney, Imy Marcus, Chris Polychron, Sam Stathakis and Allen Tillery. Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Arkansas Hospice and Genesis Cancer Center doctors and staff for all of their care and support.
