Billy Keith Scales

Billy Keith Scales 83, of Watson, Ark., passed away Nov. 25, 2016 at his home. He was born July 4, 1933 in Yancopin, Ark., to his late parents, James and Lula Irene Sinkey Scales. Billy was a Horse trainer, Rancher and Farmer, a member of Watson Methodist Church, Cattleman's Association and National Cutting Horse Association. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Mary Evelyn Scales and Mary Lou Scales; two brothers, Sammy and Ronnie "Pete" Scales. Survivors are three sons, Jerry (Cindy) Scales, Dumas, Ark., Bill (Linda) Scales, Fordyce, Ark., Joe (LaJuan) Scales, Watson, Ark., and three daughters, Karen (Larry) Neeley, Dumas, Ark., Nancy (Gary) Minchew, Benton, AR and Kim (Curry) Branham, Gillett, Ark.: two brothers, Bobby Scales, Texas and Jimmie Scales, Watson, Ark.: one sister, Patricia Vaden, Watson, Ark.: eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 28, from 5–7 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel and service Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Watson Assembly of God Church, 2 p.m. with Rev. Roger Pierce officiating and burial at Watson Cemetery. Memorials may be in memory of Billy to the American Lung Association, 217 W. Second St. Ste. 105, Little Rock, Ark. 72201-2520.
