William Kelly (Duke) Ellington

William Kelly (Duke) Ellington, 74, of Little Rock passed away on September 23, 2016. He was born on December 25, 1941 to Kelly William and Dixie Jane (Bewley) Ellington. He served over 38 years with the Little Rock Fire Department, retiring as a Captain. He loved gardening and feeding the birds. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Stewart Ellington; children, Ed Ellington (Pat), Cindy Voss (Ken), Kelly Ellington (Cindy); eight grandchildren, Amber (Dustin), Kenny, Robert (Lacy), Rachel, Haley, Josh, Blake and Jacob; one great-grandson, Maxwell; three sisters, Margaret, Kellene (Squire), Teresa (Dennis); and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
