Charles E. Stover, 81, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died on Good Friday – April 14, 2017, with his family by his side in Sheridan, Ark. He was born April 19, 1935, in Fordyce, Ark., to the late Bruce G. and Gladys Stover. He received his education in Fordyce and graduated a proud Redbug in 1953. He worked for and retired from Varco-Pruden in Pine Bluff. Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and outings with friends and Sonshiners. He cherished his many trips to Branson with family and friends. He was a life-long member of First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff. He served the church and community in many roles, including mission work in Ecuador. He was preceded in death by his wives Clara Stover and Pat Richardson Stover; his brother, Bruce Stover and his sister, Carolyn Gilbert. Charlie is survived by his children, Debbie Stover Vereen, (wife of the late Coach Charlie Vereen), Jeff & Theresa Stover of Sheridan; mother to his children, Carolyn Stover of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Brock Stover, Chad Stover and Lacey and Tyler Cox; nephew, David Parker; step grandchildren, Chuck Vereen and Chris Vereen. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017, Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Wilma DeFoggi and Reverend Gary Bell officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, in Oak Grove Cemetery in Alpine, Ark.
