Catherine Marie Clowers

Catherine Marie Moore Clowers, 74, of Hot Springs Village became God's newest angel on Jan. 28. She was born to Bonnie Moore (who survives her) and Truman Moore in Lauratown, Ark. She grew up in Walnut Ridge, Ark., where she met her future husband of 54 years, Dr. Larry Clowers. She is also survived by daughters, Dr. Marsha Clowers of New York City, and Dr. Holly Clowers and son-in-law Dr. Richard Oberg of Jackson, Tenn.; her sister, Fran Austin and husband Doug Austin of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; her brothers, Harry Truman Moore and wife Linda Lou of Paragould, Ark., and Tom Moore and his wife Darlene of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; and nieces, their children, and a nephew. Cathy earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas State University and a Master of Education from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. She educated young people in Louisiana and Arkansas for nearly 40 years. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, 275 Asturias Dr., Hot Springs Village, Ark., 71909, on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Kirk in the Pines. Cathy will be missed. Arrangements are with Hot Springs Funeral Home. Online condolences at www.hotspringsfh.com.
