Naomi I Varner

Naomi I. Varner 87 of Edmond, Okla. died February 19, 2017 in Edmond. She was born August 12, 1929 in Kingston, AR to Virgil Allen and Jesse Jewel Combs Weathers. Naomi retired from the Civil Service. She enjoyed bowling and baking cookies for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Varner. She is survived by one son, Duke Dotson and wife Donna of New Braunfels, Texas, two daughters, Chury Bennight and husband Bill of Jacksonville, N.C. and Cathryn Relyea and husband Regan of Edmond, Okla., one sister, Billie McGuire of Fayetteville, sister-in-law, Bettie Weathers of Fayetteville. Nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating.
