Kenneth Wayne Ruffin, 75, of Mayflower passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016. He was born Oct. 1, 1941 in Point DeLuce, Ark. to James Eason and Lois Olive Young Ruffin. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, gardening and his Atlanta Braves. Ken served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a self employed computer programmer and systems analyst for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Kersten Ruffin; son, Nicholas Dean Ruffin and his wife, Kaylynn; grandson, James Cody Ruffin and his wife, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Eason Walker Ruffin and Leila James Ruffin; and other extended family. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Berlin, Harold Ray, and Bobby Joe Ruffin; and sister, Velda Ruth McCay. His family wants to extend a special thanks to Dr. Larry Watkins, Dr. Michael Huber, Dr. Ladly Abraham and his staff, and Hospice Home Care Conway for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your charity of choice.
