Kenneth Lewis Rains, age 62, of Little Rock, finished his walk here on earth and began a new walk with his Lord. He was born on April 2, 1954 and joined his parents, Edwin and Maybelle Rains on January 8, 2017. Ken was a man full of life, laughs and love. He was an electrician and a retired Arkansas National Guard Rotor Wing Aviator. A true renaissance man, Ken excelled at whatever he put his mind to, whether it was a rotor wing pilot, aviating, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, as well as, building businesses. He was a master craftsman, a brilliant artist, a great father, husband, brother and friend. Whatever he did it was the best. Ken will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ken is survived by his wife, Alvina Makogonova Rains; his children and spouses, Kenneth and Suzanne Rains, April Rains, Jennifer Fore, Natasha Makogonova, Lyuba and Martin Bogan, Anna and Adam Lansky; one brother; one sister; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Pastor Jeremy Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time on Thursday.
