THELMA FRANCES BANKS, 94, of North Little Rock passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017. She was born July 8, 1922 in Bleidt, Kentucky to L.G. and Frances Duncan Bleidt. She attended Ouachita Baptist College, leaving during her senior year to be married because of the war. Thelma was a charter member of Park Hill Baptist Church where she taught children for over 50 years and was active in women's ministry. Together with her husband, they founded Fashion Park Cleaners in 1954. They were active in the International Dry Cleaning Congress and enjoyed traveling the world. She is survived by her son, Brooksher Banks (Rhonda); grandson, Matthew Banks (Molly); granddaughter, Melissa Wolfe (Jeremy); sister, Pat Bleidt; nephew, Buddy Bleidt; niece, Rebecca Bleidt; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Brooksher T. Banks. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Arkansas Hospice, Tammy Rich, RN and the House of Three caregivers. Memorials may be made to the Children's Ministry at Park Hill Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Park Hill Baptist Church. There will be a private entombment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
