Harold Norman Shirley

Harold Norman Shirley of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. He was born December 20, 1932 in Remount, Arkansas to Dewey R. Shirley and Ila F. Magness Shirley. He married Miss Jo Ann Smith on November 17, 1956 in Enid, Oklahoma. He was a retired Master Sgt. Medic with the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and loved video games. He is survived by two children, Hal Shirley and Gaye Lynn Long (Tom); sister, Wilma Matthews, brother, Eddie Shirley (Doris); sister, Linda Christensen; three grandchildren, Sarah Copeland (Cody), Nathan Long, and Nat Long; two great-grandchildren, Cub Copeland and two hours after Harold's death, Poppy Copeland was born. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jo Ann Shirley. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 at Little Rock National Cemetery with full military honors.
